Junior Williams spent his light night on earth in the arms of his Grammy Betty Harris on Sunday night June 9, 2024. He passed peacefully the next morning. Part poodle and part Shih Tzu, Junior was a sweet dog who loved to take long walks, watch t.v. and snuggle. He loved to lick anyone who would hold him and could put his tongue straight up your nose. He was so little a strong breeze would knock him down but so big-hearted he would patiently wait his turn at the water bowl. Junior always wanted to be on Betty’s lap or on the pillow next to her. He lived with Betty in Anniston, Alabama and then in New Orleans where he made lots of friends when she walked with him around her condo. He was preceded in death by his dog-brother Pumpkin. Aside from Betty, he leaves behind his first adopted human Cindy, his Aunt Kim and his dog-brother Morris, and his dog-sisters Zelda and Josephine (who nearly put his eye out while playing too rough). Junior was also known as Sammy Davis, Jr, J.R., Junior Cates and Junebug. Letting Junior go was hard but at the end he only knew he was being held by his beloved Betty. He was precious and he was loved.
